Hannu Sarja establishes Merius Oy in July. He has accumulated eight years of experience before then in 3D design, production and deliveries of projects related to industrial processes.
The starting point for Merius is his realization that planning is the key factor in investment projects and in practice the only role that has the opportunity to influence all parties involved in the investment. If the design philosophy changes slightly, one and the same slightly refined material can be used to respond to all parties without wasting resources.
From self-employment to a more secure footing: first employee recruited.
First development project together with stakeholders: managing and duplicating expert work in collaboration with the University of Vaasa as part of the Growth Company MBA programme. The project creates a stage-gate model for the progress of the design process, which enhances the duplication of design work.
Focus of the customer sector shifts from the engineering industry to large-scale factory design, where our company’s services have the opportunity to generate more added value for the target group.
Second major development project, TIEHA, in partnership with the Finnish Geodetic Institute and Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation. We integrate the laser scanning method into our factory design service, which enables us to create a digital copy of the built environment.
